二氧化铅PbO2又称过氧化铅、铅酸酐,一种强氧化剂。棕褐色粉末,晶体结构属斜方晶系。受光的作用分解成四氧化三铅和氧。加热到290℃时生成三氧化二铅和氧,继续升温则分解成四氧化三铅和氧。不溶于水和乙醇,溶于盐酸。与有机物接触易燃。二氧化铅在自然界中以块状黑铅矿存在。人工制取方法有:①铅盐溶液进行阳极氧化制得,此法多用以制备二氧化铅电极。②在碱性溶液中,以氯氧化红丹(Pb3O4)制得;或以氯、溴、次氯酸等氧化其他二价铅盐制得;还可用过氧化钠、过(二)硫酸盐等作为氧化剂,与四氧化三铅的悬浮液作用制得。二氧化铅在铅-酸蓄电池中用作阳极板的活性材料,在染料中用作氧化剂,在含硫聚合物、烷基苯、乙醛等有机化合物反应过程中用作催化剂,还用于烟火、火柴的制造。因二氧化铅有毒,在生产时要注意防护,在空气中的最大容许剂量为0.05mg/m3。
