When we were having a video call with my mom, my kids fought to occupy the screen and talk with her.
In response to my mom’s invitation to her place, my kids asked for their favorite food. They said a lot of names, including fried chicken wings, candy, chocolates, fish, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, dumplings, strawberries, Zongzi and so on. My mom promised that they could eat whatever they wanted to their hearts’ content at her place.
I told my kids that they were too demanding and my mom would be exhausted from preparing so many kinds of food, but my mom said she would never be tired as long as what she did could make my kids happy.
Yes, this is my mom. She always tries to make the most delicious food for her children and her grandchildren, no matter how old we are. She always has a sense of achievement whenever we are eating her food happily. I think I’ve been becoming a person more and more like her in this sense.
