11月11—20日，吉林大学“牛津大学展望计划—行摄牛津工作坊”项目在英国牛津大学成功举办。在牛津大学全球发展和展望中心的大力支持下，来自吉林大学文学院暨新闻与传播学院的师生代表一行13人，历时10天圆满完成了《遇·见》和《吉大人在牛津》两部纪录片的摄制工作。《遇·见》作为反映中英人文交流的记录影片在牛津大学官网展映，这也成为中国高校团队制作的第一部在牛津官网展映的记录影片。该项目作为吉林大学国际合作与交流处（国际汉语教育东北基地）发起的“吉林大学青年精英海外中国学工作坊”计划的入选项目，充分挖掘青年学生的潜力，在世界顶尖学府，用镜头记录中英人文交流的点滴，通过中国青年学子与英国高校师生的视角探寻连接中英文化的桥梁和纽带，探索牛津多元文化背景下的中英文化碰撞与融合。
“Oxford Prospects Program (OPP)—Jilin University FilmingWorkshop at Oxford” was held successfully at University of Oxford, during November11th to 20th, . With the support of Oxford Prospects& Global Development Center, 13 faculty members and students from JLU Collegeof Humanities had a 10-day filming workshop with two documentaries as theoutcomes, namely “The Bridge of Insight” and “JLUers at Oxford”. “The Bridge ofInsight”, a documentary on China-UK people-to-people exchange, became the firstone of its kind produced by Chinese faculty members and students to be screenedon the official website of University of Oxford. “Oxford Prospects Program—JilinUniversity Filming Workshop at Oxford” is one of the programs in “OverseasChinese Studies Workshops for Young Elites” launched by Office of GlobalEngagement/Northeast Center for International Chinese Language Education ofJilin University, which aims to explore the bond connecting the Chinese and UKculture, the collision and integration in the context of multi-culturalbackground in Oxford through the perspective of Chinese and British Universityfaculty members and students by recording details of their communication in aworld-leading university and tapping the potentials of students.

在英国牛津大学进行纪录片的摄制是一个充满挑战的过程。从纪录片立意到形成拍摄思路，从制定拍摄计划到不断丰满拍摄日程，不断增加的受访人员，不断丰满的采访话题，无不凝结着两校工作团队的坚持与智慧。牛津大学全球发展与展望中心为摄制组不断挖掘有价值的信息与采访资源，国内团队24小时配合前方摄制组提供技术支持与影像资料，吉大摄制组与牛津技术指导从中英文脚本写作到编导风格与音乐选择，一遍又一遍地讨论修改......不眠不休的10个昼夜之后，摄制团队为观众呈上了精致而充满温度的中英人文交流作品。
Filming and making a documentary at University of Oxford is achallenging journey. It is the result of wisdom, persistence and commitment ofboth crews from University of Oxford and Jilin University, from identifying thetheme to developing a concrete clue, from scheduling the shooting plan toenriching the shooting agenda, from increasing the number of interviewees torevising the interview questions. Oxford Prospects & Global DevelopmentCenter searched for valuable information and provided shooting resources forthe crew with unremitting efforts while the JLU team provided technical supportas well as images and footage day and night. The crew, with the technicalguidance from University of Oxford, spared no efforts in perfecting thedocumentary in every possible way, from script writing to directing style andto background music selecting... After 10 sleepless nights, the crew presenteda well-edited Chinese-UK people-to-people exchange documentary with love compassion.
在牛津大学校园举行的展映仪式上，吉大师生此次创作的两部记录影片—《遇·见》和《吉大人在牛津》，与牛津大学学生夏洛特和吉大学生制片人共同在“看中国·吉林行”项目创作的纪录片《大国工匠》共同展映，得到了观众的好评。吉林大学文学院副院长孔朝蓬教授表示，“看中国·外国青年影像计划”为中外青年打开了交流的契机，吉大启动的“吉林大学青年精英海外中国学工作坊”开启了“中国青年看世界之旅”，很荣幸吉大师生选择了牛津大学作为第一站，这皆源于双方共同的坚持。牛津全球发展和展望中心主任王士东表示，很惊喜同学们在短短的10天内呈现了两部优秀的影片。学术交流是中外文化交流的一种形式，吉林大学与牛津大学的学术交流正在日益丰富，期待今后能共同创造更多中英文化交流的机会。
On the exhibit at Oxford, the documentaries “The Bridge of Insight”and “JLUers at Oxford” were screened together with the documentary of “GreatCountry Craftsman”, co-produced by Charlotte, a student from University ofOxford and a JLU student producer for the “Looking China-In Jilin”program, which were all well-received. Prof. Kong Zhaopeng, Deputy Dean of JLUCollege of Humanities, said that “Looking China Youth Film Project” has openeda window for both Chinese and foreign students to know each other, while JLU’s“Overseas Chinese Studies Workshops for Young Elites” started a journey forChinese students to see the world. She was very glad that JLU chose Universityof Oxford as the first stop, which originates from a shared belief forpromoting youth exchange. Wang Shidong, Director of Oxford Prospects &Global Development Center, was amazed that the students presented twohigh-quality films within only 10 days. He said that academic exchange is partof the cultural exchange, and that with enhanced academic exchange between JLUand Oxford, more opportunities for China-UK cultural exchange could be expectedby concerted efforts from both sides.

在牛津大学团队的大力支持下，在纪录片《遇·见》的拍摄过程中，摄制团队顺利采访到了来自牛津大学各领域的学者。布拉塞诺斯学院研究员、前化学系主任、皇家学会穆拉德奖获得者Prof. Graham Richards在采访中说，牛津大学有优质的生源、雄厚的师资和先进的研究设施，提供给来自全世界的学生。在这样的学校，每一位成员都将成为国际交流的一份子，大家从共同的学术主题出发，开展交流合作。在科学研究领域，边界并不重要。牛津大学高级战略官Dr. Nash则表示，牛津大学将在中国苏州设立物理科学研究中心，这是牛津大学在海外设立的第一个合作项目。他相信通过与中国伙伴的合作，科研团队将有望在应用科学研究领域取得关键性进展。吉大师生团队与牛津学者的对话，再一次让年轻一代体会到，牛津的魅力，也许就在于它多年来不断传承的兼容并包的多元文化和对人类做出的杰出学术贡献。人们在寻求共同进步的这一基础上，尊重并欢迎一切自由开放的交流，这应该就是中外人文交流中最值得尊重的精神。
With the support of University ofOxford, the crew of “The Bridge of Insight” managed to interview Oxfordscholars in various areas. Prof. Graham Richards, researcher at BrasenoseCollege, former head of the Department of Chemistry and winner of Mullard Awardof Royal Society, said in the interview that University of Oxford pools thebest students, faculty members and provides the most advanced researchfacilities for students around theglobe. Everyone in Oxford plays the role in international communication, wherecommunication and collaboration start from shared academic interest. Boundarymeans little to scientific research. Dr. Nash, Senior Strategy Officer ofUniversity of Oxford, also said that Oxford plans to establish Research Centerof Physical Science in Suzhou, China, which would be the first overseas jointprogram for Oxford. He believed that by working with the Chinese partners, theresearch team is expected to achieve significant progress in applied scienceresearch. The JLU young generation experienced Oxford’s diverse yet inclusivemulti-cultural legacy and its academic contributions to the mankind time andagain through dialogues with Oxford scholars, which is where the charm ofOxford relies. We should always respect and welcome all free and open exchangesfor common development. This spirit in Chinese-foreign people-to-peopleexchange deserves our upmost respect.

在牛津大学采访与拍摄的过程，也是吉大师生发现自我、重塑自我的一次旅程。在纪录片《吉大人在牛津》的拍摄过程中，摄制组的青年学子从每一位吉大人的拍摄采访中，都不断悟出人生努力的方向，每一位吉大受访者的描述与分享，都记录着他们曾经的迷茫与快速的成长，不知不觉中，影片描绘出每个人身上传承并发扬着的吉大精神。在吉林大学结束本科学习，并已经在牛津开始博士研究生涯的弓琛在采访中说，“我来到牛津之后，发现要学会珍惜并抓住机会，因为好多东西稍纵即逝，自己要更勇敢地去和别人交流”。朴实的言语中，透着对科学的执着与对世界的责任。那种坚定的眼神，无不让在场的青年学子动容。怀揣着对科学的梦想，执着于对社会的责任，在世界的舞台与最优秀的人群共同起舞，开创美好的未来，这也许就是中英人文交流的价值。
Itis s journey of self-identifying and self-rebuilding for the JLU facultymembers and students during their interviewing and filming in Oxford. Membersof the crew learned about locating their life directions in their filmmaking ofthe documentary “JLUers at Oxford”. The JLUers the crew interviewed, sharedtheir experiences, their missing and growth.The film depicts the JLU spirit represented and carried by each andevery one of them GONG Chen, a JLU graduate who is now a Ph.D. student atOxford, said in the interview, “I learnt that I must cherish and seizeopportunity to communicate with others with courage and motivation. Opportunityis there one minute and gone the next.” These simple words tells us theirpassion for science and responsibility for the world. Their determined looksmoved everyone on site. Encouraging young people to work with the best brainsin the world with passion for science and the responsibility for the societyfor a better world would be the core value of China-UK People-to-peopleexchange.

十天的牛津之旅，是一场难忘的文化影像纪录之旅。项目组的同学们认为，在牛津大学期间，巨大的多重压力极大地发挥了他们的自我潜力；每个人都开阔了视野，增长了见识，收获了成长。如果用几个关键词来形容此次旅程，或许可以是：挑战、发现、合作、桥梁和潜力。一场发现人文交流之旅，何尝不是同学们进行人文交流的最好实践呢？中外人文交流，每位有志的吉大人，始终努力奔跑在路上。
The 10-day filmmaking experience in Oxford is an unforgettablejourney for culture recording. The students in the program believed that thepressure they experienced in Oxford helped to unleash their potentials. They’vebroadened their horizons of thinking, enriched their knowledge and experiencedpersonal growth. They described the journey with several key words: challenge, discovery,cooperation, bridge and potential. It is indeed the best practice for studentsto engage in people-to-people exchange. Every JLUer with the ambition andaspiration is always on the way to promote people-to-people exchange.

为充分了解孔子学院本土需求，推动孔子学院建设本土化，，吉林大学国际合作与交流处（国际汉语教育东北基地）启动 “青年精英海外中国学工作坊”和“中外青年海外调研与人文交流”计划，共资助18个团组，共计267人次在校师生，赴全球海外孔子学院和国外合作院校，举办学术工作坊或学术论坛，在海外调研实践的过程中，推动中外人文交流，取得了丰硕的成果。，吉林大学共派出3,909人次在校学生赴国（境）外交流研修，比增长了1.22倍。吉林大学正以更加开放的姿态，为在校学生营造更加国际化的教育氛围。
Office of Global Engagement /Northeast Center forInternational Chinese Language Education of Jilin University launched “OverseasChinese Studies Workshops for Young Elites” and “International Public Surveyand Cultural Exchange Program for Youth” in to better understand the localneeds of Confucius Institutes and promote their localization. The programsfunded 267 faculty members and students in 18 teams to hold academic workshopsor forums in overseas Confucius Institutes and partner universities. Theseprograms promoted cultural exchange between China and other countries throughpublic surveys and yielded fruitful results. In , JLU sent 3,909 studentsoverseas for international exchanges and further study, 1.22 times higher thanthe number in . JLU is creating a more open and international environmentfor its students.
