学习的过程绝非毕其功于一役,路漫漫其修远兮,我们终究还是要关关难过关关过。

上一期的《教师笔谈》我们邀请楚美瑞老师就如何“坚毅”学习与大家分享了自己的几点看法。众所周知,坚毅的背后,也需要有正确的方法。

今天,成实外国际部实外国际部经济学外籍教师Paulina老师就将向大家展示在教学过程中,如何以正确的方法去引导同学们解决所面临的问题。

How to solve the problemss in learning?

To help the students we designed a mental map where we divide the main topic into 5 Steps, we hope this will be a tool to support them.

经过讨论我们的小组设计了一个帮助学生实现“坚持不懈”的思维导图,尽管只有5个步骤,但我们希望这个简单的思维导图可以帮助到学生们。

1St step“The problem breaker”to exemplify the problem we draw some funny monsters, the biggest monster represent the student problems and we divide this problem in to 4 little monsters to represent how the students can divide their problems and goals, into many different task like that they will have a clear Idea about what they have to do to start their journey and how difficult it will be. This is a way to simplify their problems.

第一个步骤- 分解问题

为了让学生们的问题“具象化”我们画了一些样貌奇异的怪兽,最大的怪兽代表着学生们所面临的最大问题,我们又将大怪兽分解成了4只小怪兽,来代表学生们同样可以将自己所面临的问题或者目标分解成不同的更容易实现小问题或小目标。这样一来我们就可以更清楚应该从哪里开始入手来实现目标或解决问题。

2nd step“Set your time”for this step we exemplified with one calendar, we want the students understand if their goals and tasks will be a long-term goal or short-term goal, with this they can set a period of time to complete their objectives.

第二个步骤- 规划时间

日历是一个帮助学生规划时间的好帮手,在分解了大问题之后,学生们需要为自己设置短期和长期的目标,在有清晰的时间规划之后他们就可以开始一步一步的着手来完成他们为自己设定好任务了。

3rd step“Take action”during this phase the students take action about what they want and have to do, they will understand that they can plan and set goals but if they postpone this step it will be harder to accomplish their task and the time spend will be prolonged.

第三个步骤- 采取行动

这个阶段中学生需要主动的对自己已经定下的任务采取行动,他们必须清楚如果自己推迟了自己已经设定好的目标,迟迟不采取行动,要按时实现原定计划将会越来越难,也意味着他们必须投入更多的时间和精力。万事开头难,迈出第一步尤为重要。

4th step“Reflection”this is the stage when the students will reflect about what are they doing to complete their task, how can they change or improve, and if is necessary change their plan to their alternative option. Is here when the teachers, parents or friends are a key part of support because the students will be asking for their help.

第四个步骤- 反思

学生们应该在完成每一个小任务的路上不断反思,他们可以如何改变,如何提高,是否有必要去准备备选方案。同时他们也学会在适当的时候从老师,家人,朋友那里寻求帮助,并且清楚从哪里可以获得必要的资源来帮助他们克服难题。

5th“Keep motivated”after the 4th step some of the students will be tired, frustrated and unmotivated to continue with their journey, is here when they need to find some motivation to continue trying to give their best effort. We though the quote “you only fail when you stop trying” will encourage them to continue.

第五个步骤- 保持动力

在经历了一段时间的努力之后,学生们必然会疲惫,沮丧甚至对将要完成的事情失去动力,因此他们需要不断调整自己,从外部和内部获取动力。“你只有在停止尝试之后才是真正的失败。

To finalize the poster,we wrote theword"PERSEVERANCE"we want to the students understand how easy can be achieve their goals,the importance of the perseverance and that even if they failed,there isn"t a failure all is gain experience.

最后,通过这5个简单的步骤我们希望学生们可以明白,其实“坚持不懈”比听上去更容易实现,另外我们坚信在“坚持不懈”的过程中学生更不应该惧怕失败,人生在于经历,而失败也是可贵的经历。
